The Stranger Shafts U1699 is a robust 3-inch seamless chrome moly driveshaft designed for demanding applications, including street use, road racing, and oval racing. Constructed from heat-treated 4130 seamless chrome-moly tubing, it features a precise .083-inch wall thickness and is fully MIG welded for durability. Each driveshaft is electronically balanced to achieve a total run-out of less than .008 inches, ensuring smooth operation and minimizing driveline vibration. This driveshaft is equipped with cast iron weld ends, which are recommended for vehicles producing up to approximately 600 rear-wheel horsepower. For higher horsepower applications, Strange Engineering suggests their U1702 model with forged ends.
