Overview

The Taliaferro downpipe is a 3-inch stainless steel exhaust component featuring Tig welding and a 4-inch Gesi Metallic RaceCat. It is designed for stage 3 applications on the 9-3 SS/SC 2003-2007 4-cylinder models. This downpipe is compatible with stock or 2.5-inch cat-back exhaust systems and includes both O2 bungs.

It comes equipped with a 4-inch Gesi Metallic RaceCat, offering an offroad/track-only option or an EPA-compliant catalytic converter for an additional cost. This downpipe is engineered for stage 3 performance on Saab 9-3 SS/SC 4-cylinder models from 2003-2007. For proper function, this downpipe must be used with stage 3 software. Note that for 2007 models with dual catalysts, this downpipe will only work with cat-back exhaust system 4006319. For 2003 model year cars, the temperature sensor is not included as it was deleted in the factory software updates. The system has both O2 bungs and will mate to a stock or 2.5-inch cat-back exhaust. This downpipe is explicitly NOT for XWD 4-cylinder cars. Installation may require the purchase of an EPA Compliant Cat option if not used for off-road racing.
