The Cometic Head Gasket EJ22ET MLS 98MM .051 is a premium Multi-Layered Steel (MLS) gasket engineered for Subaru engines undergoing rebuilding or head gasket repair. Constructed with three layers of stainless steel, it offers enhanced strength, superior rebound capability, and excellent corrosion resistance. The outer layers are embossed and coated with fluoroelastomer rubber-based materials (Viton), providing heat resistance up to 250°C (482°F) and ensuring durability in demanding sealing environments. Its construction makes it ideal for applications involving aluminum heads to cast iron blocks, as well as aluminum heads to aluminum blocks. The MLS design eliminates the need for retorquing after installation and is applied dry without any additional coatings. Key specifications for this Cometic head gasket include a 98mm bore size and a thickness of .051 inches (1.3mm). It is important to note that these gaskets are sold individually, and two are required for a complete engine job. The gasket is also compatible with JDM EJ20G motors.
