The Mishimoto Performance Air Intake is a direct-fit system designed for the 2016-2018 Ford Focus RS. It replaces the OEM airbox and intake pipe with a 3" aluminum pipe that routes to the turbo.

The Mishimoto Performance Air Intake is engineered as a full replacement for the stock system in the 2016-2018 Ford Focus RS. This intake features a 3-inch aluminum pipe that directs air to the turbocharger and includes all necessary bracketry for a precise fit. The airbox design enhances pressure drop and allows the exposed filter to draw in more air, while also sealing against the hood to prevent hot air ingress. Dyno testing has demonstrated maximum gains of up to 12 whp and 15 wtq on the stock tune, with no additional tuning required for installation. The air filter is strategically placed to capture airflow from the front of the vehicle, and the black powder-coated airbox further ensures that only cool air reaches the filter. Installation is described as medium difficulty and requires no cutting or modification to factory components, making it a direct bolt-in. The system is CARB EO D-759-2 exempt. Mishimoto backs this product with their Lifetime Warranty.
