The GrimmSpeed 3-Port Electronic Boost Control Solenoid offers enhanced boost control over the factory 2-port system, providing tighter control and consistency for safer tuning and improved performance. This solenoid is designed as a direct plug-and-play replacement for the factory unit, featuring a custom-machined adapter that precisely replicates the factory turbo inlet and O-ring sealing feature. The adapter provides 1/8" NPT threads, allowing for the use of included barbed fittings or optional AN fittings for various boost control solutions. The solenoid is constructed with proprietary internal modifications to prepare it for extreme automotive conditions, and it boasts a black anodized finish for corrosion protection. It includes 1/4" barbed fittings with a zinc-plated finish that match the factory turbo and included hoses. The compact design mounts directly in the factory location with the included adapter and a zinc-plated steel bracket. A custom wiring connector ensures no modification or splicing is required, as it plugs directly into the OEM wiring harness. Installation is described as fairly easy, though some found removing and reinstalling splash guards and skid plates to be a bit of a pain. Clear instructions and an accompanying video are available.
