3-Port Electronic Boost Control Solenoid

The GrimmSpeed 3-Port Electronic Boost Control Solenoid (BCS) is engineered to provide superior boost control for turbo Subarus, replacing the factory 2-port solenoid. This unit allows for high-resolution boost management, giving tuners the hardware needed to achieve safe and stable boost levels throughout the power curve. The balanced valve design can withstand pressures up to 120psi, ensuring rapid response times even under demanding conditions. It utilizes a custom coil matched to ECU voltage for safe operation with the factory Subaru ECU, and includes nickel-plated fittings for durability, unlike the more brittle plastic fittings found on some other solenoids. Installation is straightforward, often completed in as little as 15 minutes with provided guides. The solenoid itself is manufactured by MAC, a company known for robust pneumatic control products. GrimmSpeed collaborated with MAC engineers to integrate exclusive features, enhancing its toughness against engine bay heat and vibration. Specific design elements include special seals to protect against moisture and high-temperature coils that maintain response times of 6 milliseconds or less, even in extreme heat. Mounting brackets are laser-cut, black zinc-plated for corrosion resistance, and feature pressed-in PEM nuts for secure connections. This complete boost control solution is compatible with 2004-2007 Subaru STI, 2006-2007 Subaru WRX, 2004-2008 Subaru Forester XT, and 2004-2006 Subaru Baja XT models.
