It supports up to 800 horsepower and features 100% TIG-welded aluminum tanks and fittings.

The Champion CC407 is a high-efficiency, all-aluminum performance radiator engineered to resolve cooling issues for 1958-1978 AMC and Rambler vehicles. This 3-row unit provides 40% better cooling performance than copper-brass radiators and is 50-75% lighter, contributing to improved vehicle dynamics. Designed to support up to 800 horsepower, it features a downflow style with high-efficiency 14-16 louvered fins per inch. Constructed with 100% all-aluminum tanks, fittings, and a billet fill neck, this radiator boasts 100% TIG-welded seams and a brazed core, with no epoxy or sealers used. It includes a 16 lb radiator cap, a brass petcock valve, and an integrated automatic transmission cooler with 1/2-20 straight thread and G 1/4 fittings. The core dimensions are 15 7/8" x 24 1/8", with overall dimensions of 23 1/4" x 27 1/4". Installation notes indicate an approximate time of 4-5 hours and recommend professional installation. Drilling of the radiator core support is required. The factory fan shroud may require modification, and custom foam sealing to the shroud is advised; an aluminum dual fan shroud (P/N AMC-FS407) is recommended. Furthermore, the 3-row version may not clear aftermarket clutch fans, Sanden A/C compressors, or serpentine drive systems, potentially necessitating dual electric cooling fans and a fan shroud for these applications. The overflow hose routes on the passenger side, and longer hoses may be needed for custom routing with an overflow tank.
