3-Stage DISA Intake Manifold

The Performance intake manifold, part number 11617559523, is engineered as a direct bolt-on upgrade for N52 engines, aiming to enhance performance by increasing horsepower and torque. This is achieved through its 3-stage DISA design, which differs from the standard two-stage manifold by incorporating an additional pathway for directing more air at higher RPMs. While low and middle RPM torque remains unchanged, this upgrade facilitates a significant power gain, potentially up to 40hp, enabling models like the 128i, 325i, and 328i to match the performance of the 330i. This intake manifold utilizes two different DISA electric valves to control airflow. It's important to note that purchasing this manifold does not include the necessary 330i DISA valves, which must be acquired separately for proper installation and function. The N51 SULEV models already feature a 3-stage manifold but are detuned via software, making this particular manifold primarily beneficial for standard N52 applications. While the intake manifold itself is a direct bolt-on, optimal performance gains are realized when paired with corresponding 330i software tuning that takes advantage of the increased airflow at higher RPMs. Without this software, users may only achieve partial benefits.
