The Detroit Locker 187SL61B is a robust locking differential engineered for Toyota 8-inch axles. This differential features a 1.3-inch axle shaft diameter and 30 spline count, with compatibility for all gear ratios. It is designed to keep both wheels in a constant drive mode, delivering 100% of the torque to both drive wheels. The Detroit Locker is known for its durability and dependability, making it a choice for professional racers and off-road enthusiasts. Specific fitment includes Toyota 4-cylinder models from 1986-1996 (Hilux, 4Runner, Celica, Celica GT) for rear applications with 4-pinion, 4x4, turbo/gas/diesel configurations. It also fits rear 6-cylinder models from 1986-1995 with 4-pinion, large hub bearing diameter (50mm, use bearing #90368-50006). For front applications on Land Cruiser and FJ models from 1990-2007, it fits 4-pinion axles with large hub bearing diameter (50mm, use bearing #90368-50006). Package deals are available that can include OE gear sets from AAM, American Axle, and Dana Spicer, as well as aftermarket sets from Dana SVL and Yukon. Timken or Koyo master bearing installation kits can also be included.
