The Daytona Twin Tec 3005S-EX is a complete internal ignition system upgrade for 1998-2003 Harley-Davidson Sportster 883 and 1200 models (excluding the 1200S). This kit replaces the stock ignition module and wiring, offering enhanced performance and customization. It includes the 1005S-EX internal nose cone ignition module, a 2005 ARB EO-legal coil, and 3003 plug wires. Key features include adjustable advance curves to suit various engine modifications, a digitally set RPM limit in 100 RPM steps, and selectable single- or dual-fire operation. The system also offers a multi-spark mode for improved starting and smoother cruising, with coil outputs protected against short circuits. For further customization, an optional USB tuning interface with PC Link Evo software is available (sold separately), allowing for advanced tuning like rear cylinder trim and custom timing curves. The kit is 50-state legal with ARB E.O. No. D-641-3. It is designed for street riding and supports kick start functionality on units manufactured after January 2006 (Rev 7.0+), with options for pre-programming or self-adjustment of kick start mode. **Important Fitment Note:** This kit is not compatible with the 1998-2003 Sportster 1200S (dual plug) models, which require a different setup including the 1007-EX external module.
