Overview

The Boss 302R Valve Spring Kit is a set of 16 valve springs designed for performance applications. These springs offer higher seat pressure than stock GT springs, supporting up to 8000 RPM and camshafts with lifts up to 13mm. They are compatible with the base 5.0L Ti-VCT head and maintain the same 40mm installed height as the Mustang GT.

The Ford Racing BOSS 302R Valve Spring Kit (M-6513-M50BR) is engineered to elevate the performance of your 2012-2013 Mustang Boss 302. This kit includes 16 valve springs, providing a significant upgrade over the base valve springs found in Mustang GT models. With a higher seat pressure (300 N closed, 700 N open for Boss 302; 265 N closed, 650 N open for Mustang GT) and an installed height of 40mm, these springs are designed for increased engine reliability at higher RPMs. They are compatible with camshafts requiring up to 13mm of lift and can support engine operation up to 8000 RPM. The kit is designed to be used on the base 5.0L Ti-VCT head. This valve spring kit is original equipment for the 2012-2013 Mustang Boss 302 and is also a direct fit for 2011-2014 Mustang GT models equipped with the 5.0L engine. Installation may require specialized tools such as a valve spring compressor and height micrometer, which are sold separately.
