The PLM Power Driven Subaru EWG Up-Pipe with Turbosmart WG40 Wastegate is a performance-oriented upgrade engineered to replace the factory up-pipe. By incorporating an external wastegate, it reduces exhaust turbulence and allows for faster turbo spool and more precise boost control, resulting in gains of 10-40+ HP depending on the vehicle's specific setup and tuning. Note that this component is not compatible with Right Hand Drive (RHD) vehicles. Built for durability and flow, the unit features 2.0mm thick 304 stainless steel piping and a 0.5-inch thick flange. The design utilizes precision CNC mandrel bending and hand-TIG welding to minimize internal steps. A key feature is the placement of the flex joint outside of the primary bend, which prevents excessive stress and turbulence, ultimately extending the service life of the component compared to designs with poorly positioned flex sections.
