The American Racing Headers RM15-06134300LSWC is a long tube exhaust system specifically designed for the 2006-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 equipped with the 5.7L HEMI engine and square-port heads. Constructed entirely from 304 stainless steel, this system boasts 3/8" thick laser-cut flanges for a warp-free seal, hand-ported TIG welded inlets, and optimized primary tube routing for superior fit and performance. The headers feature merge collectors with scavenger spikes and include a 3" Y-pipe with integrated 200-cell metallic substrate catalytic converters. The process involves removing the dipstick and O2 sensors, cutting the stock exhaust behind the Y-pipe and in front of the cats, and then installing the new headers and mid-pipe. The system extends past the transmission cross-member to eliminate the factory wire clamp connection. O2 extensions are provided, and the dipstick can be reinstalled through the driver-side header. It is recommended to check clearance on the shift cable and ensure O2 sensor wires are kept clear of the piping. It is crucial to note that this American Racing Headers exhaust system is intended for **closed course competition use only**. It is not legal for use in highway or street vehicles, nor is it legal nationwide under the Federal Clean Air Act.
