Description

The PLM Private Label Mfg. Power Driven Subaru EWG Up-Pipe is engineered to enhance the performance of compatible Subaru WRX and STI vehicles by allowing for the installation of a 38mm or 40mm external wastegate (EWG). Utilizing an external wastegate can lead to quicker turbo spool and more precise boost control by preventing turbulence in the exhaust stream. Constructed from durable 304 stainless steel, this up-pipe features 2.0mm thick piping for increased durability compared to some competitors' 1.5mm piping. The unit is hand TIG welded and boasts minimal internal steps to maximize flow, with an inlet and outlet diameter of 1.95 inches. This up-pipe is a direct bolt-on replacement for the OEM header or turbo, requiring no modifications for installation. It is designed to reduce turbo lag and is stated to provide a horsepower gain of 10-40+ whp, depending on the vehicle's specific setup. The package includes all necessary hardware and gaskets.
