The GrimmSpeed 003001 Up Pipe is engineered to provide a smoother flow path for exhaust gases to reach the turbocharger on select Subaru models. Constructed from durable 304 stainless steel, this up pipe features a 1.92-inch inlet that tapers down to 1.72 inches, acting as a funnel to optimize airflow and improve compressor efficiency. This design aims to build boost pressure faster and higher, enhancing overall performance. Utilizing in-house FARO Arm scanning and Solidworks CAD software, GrimmSpeed meticulously reverse-engineered numerous OEM pieces to ensure consistent and accurate dimensions for their up pipe. This precise engineering addresses the inherent inconsistencies found in stock exhaust manifold components. This up pipe is designed to fit a range of Subaru vehicles with EJ20/EJ25 engines. The specified fitment includes 2004-2021 Subaru STi models, 2002-2014 Subaru WRX models, and 2005-2009 Subaru Legacy GT models. Note that GrimmSpeed states they will not sell up pipes for cars that originally came with a catalytic converter in the up pipe.
