The Rockford Fosgate PMX-USBEXT provides a 33-foot (10 meter) extension for the USB port found on the rear of compatible PMX source units. This powered USB cable enables easy access for loading music or other media, extending the reach of your audio system in larger applications like boats or RVs. Standard USB 2.0 cables are typically limited to 5 meters (16-1/2 feet), but the PMX-USBEXT uses an internal amplifier powered by the USB charging voltage to maintain signal integrity over its extended length. Key specifications include USB 2.0 Type-A connectivity, supporting data transfer speeds up to 480 Mbps. The cable has a diameter of 5 mm and a power consumption of 300 mA. It features a Type-A male to Type-A female connector setup, allowing you to connect a USB device to the extended port. These include the PMX-2, PMX-3, PMX-5, PMX-5CAN, and PMX-8BB models.
