The kit features extremely lightweight, one-piece forged aluminum calipers. These calipers are constructed from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, ensuring superior strength, even thickness, and resistance to fracturing, warpage, and failure over time. An opposed-piston design promotes consistent brake pad grip and wear. The lightweight center sections, made from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reduce rotational mass for quicker stopping response. The two-piece design also minimizes rotor warping due to heat expansion. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they run cooler, while slotted rotors are better suited for track use to help dissipate heat, dust, and gases. Standard features include D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. The kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use, with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. Customization options include a wide range of caliper colors, from standard finishes like Orange, Red, and Black to premium high-polish options in Silver, Gold, and Titanium.
