The SuperComp caliper is forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum, making it extremely lightweight (just over 7 lbs) while offering exceptional rigidity. It features differential bore, larger pistons, aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design enhances pad wear and caliper rigidity over OEM systems, and the included stainless-steel brake lines prevent expansion under pressure. Each SuperComp caliper requires four brake pads, which are included. This kit utilizes a 2-piece floating disc assembly that reduces both rotating and unsprung weight. The floating design mitigates thermal stresses that can cause warping or cupping of the braking surface under extreme heat. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. The unique slot design on the rotors helps reduce noise and expels gas and pad debris more effectively than conventional designs. This specific kit comes with cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily-driven vehicles as they tend to run cooler than slotted rotors. Fitment is specific to the Volkswagen Passat B7 (2012-2019) models, including 2.5L, TDi, 3.6L VR6, 1.8T Gen 3, and 2.0T Gen 3 engines. It is confirmed to fit 2WD vehicles only and is compatible with 2-piece OE caliper models. The kit includes Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal performance on the street and occasional track use, offering reduced dust and noise.
