This front brake system integrates advanced brake technology to significantly reduce brake fade and continuously cool and refresh the brake pad surface during operation. At the core of this kit are the extreme lightweight SuperComp calipers, forged from aircraft-quality billet aluminum. These calipers feature a differential bore configuration with larger pistons than Ksport's ProComp calipers, enhancing pad wear and caliper rigidity. Standard features include aluminum pistons, high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The opposed piston design, along with dual stainless steel brake lines to prevent expansion under pressure, ensures superior performance. Due to their size, the SuperComp calipers utilize four brake pads per caliper. The kit includes a 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces both rotating and unsprung weight while preventing thermal stresses from warping the disc. The unique slot design on the rotor minimizes braking noise and efficiently expels gas and pad debris. Rotors are heat-treated and balanced for optimal performance. This specific kit features cross-drilled rotors, recommended for daily-driven vehicles due to their tendency to run cooler than slotted rotors. Buyers can choose between Ksport SC5 Street Pads, designed for optimal street and occasional track use, or Ksport RC5 Race Pads, intended for extreme track conditions.
