This Kelderman 2-Stage Rear Air Suspension system addresses the poor ride quality often experienced with Ford Chassis Cab trucks. Designed for those who don't have towing issues but find their truck uncomfortable to ride in, it utilizes a unique design that replaces the rear leaf spring hanger/mount with a "floating" air suspension framework. This allows the retention of leaf springs for towing while providing the comfort of air suspension. The system "floats" the stock suspension, offering 3-4" of additional suspension travel and typically improving ride quality by 40-50%. The air bags act as the first line of defense against road harshness before it transfers to the leaf springs. The system may require the elimination of the existing receiver hitch, but a strong Class V replacement hitch can be provided.
