351 Ford 4.000" Stroke 4340 Crankshaft

The Molnar Technologies 351 Ford crankshaft is engineered for high-performance and racing applications, serving as a robust foundation for your engine build. Constructed from 4340 forged steel, it offers exceptional strength and durability to withstand demanding conditions. This crankshaft features a 4.000" stroke and utilizes 2.100" rod journals, compatible with a minimum rod length of 6.200". The crankshaft undergoes a multi-stage heat treatment and is shot peened to increase its fatigue life. The main and rod journal surfaces are ion-nitrided for enhanced wear resistance. Precision machining tolerances are maintained to very tight specifications, and material properties are closely monitored to ensure optimum performance. Additional strength is provided by .125" radius on both the connecting rod and main journals, while chamfered oil holes improve oiling. The journals are precision ground and micro-polished, and the crank is indexed to guarantee the correct stroke. This Molnar crankshaft is designed for the Ford 351 Cleveland engine family and is suitable for muscle cars, street rods, hot rods, competition engines, off-road, and marine applications. It is particularly beneficial for engines running high boost levels from turbochargers or superchargers, or significant nitrous oxide use.
