Unlike many aftermarket big brake kits that struggle with the limited space between large calipers and the wheel, Ksport's Slimline design is based on OEM floating piston caliper thickness, ensuring compatibility. Each kit comes complete with calipers, lightweight two-piece rotors (available as cross-drilled or slotted), SC5 street brake pads, stainless steel brake lines, and all necessary mounting hardware. The calipers are constructed from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, offering a one-piece forged design that eliminates weak spots and ensures durability. The opposed-piston design promotes consistent brake pad grip and wear. Caliper pistons are aluminum and protected by heavy-duty seals suitable for high temperatures, with titanium brake pad retainer clips and stainless-steel wear plates also standard. The 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections lower rotational mass for improved responsiveness and act as heat sinks. The design allows the outer rotor to expand and contract independently, reducing warping from heat buildup. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to their cooler running temperatures, while slotted rotors are suggested for more track-focused use. Included are D.O.T. compliant stainless steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer feel compared to stock rubber lines. Standard SC5 street pads offer optimal performance for street use and occasional track days, providing reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. Ksport Big Brake kits come with a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturer defects. Production time for these kits is typically 4-6 weeks.
