The Ksport Procomp 8 Piston Big Brake Kit is engineered to significantly upgrade your Volkswagen Beetle's braking performance, especially under demanding high-heat conditions. This kit features a sophisticated bolt-on design for enhanced brake power and reliability. Constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum, the 1-piece forged monoblock calipers offer exceptional strength, lightweight performance, and resistance to corrosion. They incorporate aluminum pistons, which provide superior heat resistance compared to standard materials. The kit utilizes two-piece rotors measuring 356mm in diameter and 32mm in width, with a slotted design for optimal heat dissipation and grip. Also included are SC5 street brake pads, designed for a balance of performance in street and occasional track use, offering reduced dust and noise. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are standard, providing a firmer pedal feel and quicker response by preventing line expansion under pressure. All Ksport Big Brake kits come with CNC-machined Carbon Steel caliper brackets to ensure a direct bolt-on installation to the OEM caliper bracket location, accommodating the larger calipers. The opposed piston caliper design enhances pad wear and overall caliper rigidity when compared to stock components. This kit is specifically designed for the Volkswagen Beetle model years 1998-2010, including Convertible, 1.8i 20V turbo, and 2.3i V5 models, provided they have OE 2-piece caliper models.
