Each caliper is constructed from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, featuring a lightweight, forged one-piece design that eliminates weak spots and ensures long-term durability. The aluminum pistons are protected with heavy-duty seals capable of withstanding high temperatures, while the opposed-piston design ensures consistent brake pad grip and wear. Standard features include high-temperature seals, titanium brake pad retainer clips, and stainless-steel brake pad wear plates. The Procomp Big Brake systems utilize two-piece rotors, measuring 356mm x 32mm for this kit, which offer reduced weight and fade-free performance. The lightweight center sections, crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, reduce rotational mass for quicker stopping response. The two-piece design allows for independent expansion and contraction of the rotor sections, reducing warping. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily-driven vehicles due to their cooler operation, while slotted rotors are suggested for track use. This kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal braking performance for street and occasional track use with reduced brake dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. The kit also includes D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel.
