The Flyin' Miata 36-2 tooth timing wheel provides a significant upgrade over the stock component, offering greatly increased resolution compared to the factory four-tooth timing wheel. This enhanced resolution aims to smooth out drivability, especially on Hydra 2.7 equipped cars. The design allows it to bolt directly in place of the OE four-tooth wheel on 1996-05 cars and is engineered to utilize factory sensors. This timing wheel is compatible with a range of Miata models, specifically fitting 1990-1997, 1999-2005, and 2004-2005 Mazdaspeed models. However, it's important to note that this specific setup will not work on small nose engines; an upgrade to a big nose setup is required for those applications. It is also noted as fitting 1991-05 Miata models, but the exclusion for small nose engines should be heeded.
