This kit offers 36 levels of damping adjustment, allowing for precise tuning of both compression and rebound to match your driving preferences and road conditions. Compared to the Kontrol Pro kit, the Kontrol Sport features 30% stiffer damping and spring rates. Construction is a key highlight, with mounts and most components crafted from 6061 billet aluminum, ensuring a lightweight yet durable and rust-resistant assembly. The shock bodies are made from steel and electroplated with zinc to combat rust and environmental elements. Ksport utilizes a Monotube design for its shock absorbers, separating oil and gas to achieve faster heat dissipation, more consistent damping, and reduced aeration and cavitation compared to traditional twin-tube designs. This advanced design contributes to a more consistent and reliable ride quality. For enhanced customization, many applications include pillowball top mounts, which can offer camber adjustment on applicable models, potentially eliminating the need for a separate camber kit. Some advanced applications even provide separate camber and caster adjustment. The majority of applications also feature an adjustable lower mount, allowing for ride height adjustment without sacrificing suspension travel—a common issue with other coilover systems.
