RS-R's engineers consider optimal ride height, performance across various lowering levels, vehicle weight, and suspension geometry to achieve a perfect balance of performance and daily drivability. These coilovers feature 36-way adjustable shock absorbers utilizing mono-tube construction and a top-grade, heat-resistant oil for precise damping. The damping force and stroke rate are specifically tuned for your vehicle's FWD application. They incorporate Titanium Alloy (Ti2000) springs, which are approximately 25% lighter than traditional steel springs. This reduced mass allows for faster suspension response, improved ground contact, and better traction, while also enhancing ride quality by reducing inertial force transfer to the chassis. The steel mounting plate includes rubber bushings and roller bearings to minimize noise and friction. The RS-R Sports-i Coilovers offer adjustable ride height without affecting spring rates, thanks to their threaded shock body and mounting bracket design. They provide a preset front lowering of -25mm and a rear lowering of -30mm, with adjustable ranges from -10 to -50mm in the front and -10 to -60mm in the rear. For optimal ride quality, a recommended lowering range of 0 to -95mm is suggested, with a further refinement of -15 to -60mm. The front spring rate is 6.00 kg/mm, and the rear is 7.90 kg/mm. These coilovers are manufactured in Japan and come with a 1-year or 12,000-mile warranty.
