The Karcepts 36mm Swap Hubs provide a robust and cost-effective drivetrain upgrade for track use and high-horsepower builds. Engineered to replace the original "Small Brake" hubs found on 1992-2000 Honda Civics, these hybrid units feature a center bore precisely machined to accommodate the larger 28-tooth spline pattern of "36mm" Honda/Acura axles. This critical modification enables the direct use of stronger axles from models such as the RSX Type S, 2006-2011 Civic Si, and 1997-2001 Prelude, significantly mitigating the risk of axle failure experienced with smaller "32mm" (26-tooth spline) axles in high-power K-Swap or all-motor applications. Customers have reported running full race seasons with 1,000 WHP Civics on OE "36mm" axles without failure, though it's noted that axles in high-HP applications should be treated as wear items. The hubs themselves are CNC turned from billet chromoly steel, then oil quenched and tempered to enhance fatigue strength.
