Description

The Racetronix 01D114x is a high-performance, 37 lb/hr disc-type, high-impedance fuel injector, presented as an alternative to Delphi 621037 and Delphi 621010 models. This injector utilizes a revolutionary disc design that rests on a short chimney surrounding a metering hole. When energized, the disc raises, allowing fuel to flow through multiple holes in the disc and over the chimney walls, forming a finely atomized cone. This design offers several performance advantages over traditional pintle injectors, including a flat mating surface that prevents excess fuel evaporation and clogging, compatibility with alternative fuels like E85 and methanol, a longer service life, and quieter operation. Additionally, its high-speed disc action provides a wider dynamic flow range, which is beneficial for improved idling, and the absence of fuel leakage contributes to quicker starts. Technical specifications indicate a flow rate of 37 lb/hr (approximately 38.3 lb/hr with EPA gasoline conversion), and it is a high-impedance injector compatible with all factory ECM/PCM injector drivers. The injectors are tested using n-Heptane test solvent, with a conversion ratio of 1.035:1 provided for EPA emission test gasoline. Grease is supplied to lubricate the o-rings prior to installation.
