Description

The AAM Competition 370Z Resonated High Flow Catalytic Converters are engineered to boost engine power and performance while adhering to emissions standards. Compared to restrictive factory catalytic converters, these units utilize a high-efficiency 200-cell metallic core that allows for greater airflow. This translates to improved exhaust flow and a noticeable increase in overall performance. Constructed from 2.5-inch T304 stainless steel tubing with mandrel bends for maximum flow, these converters feature thick 3/8-inch stainless steel flanges, offering superior durability over the mild steel flanges used by many competitors. The precision TIG welding ensures a robust build. A "J-Bend" style O2 sensor bung is incorporated to help prevent Check Engine Lights, though ECU tuning may be necessary in rare cases. Installation is designed as a direct OEM replacement, requiring no additional modifications, and all necessary hardware and gaskets are included. The resonated design aims to provide a deeper, smoother exhaust tone with significantly reduced back pressure and minimal drone, making them the quietest option for replacing restrictive factory cats. Users can expect an average increase of 8 to 16 horsepower, depending on the vehicle's existing exhaust setup. These resonated high-flow catalytic converters are compatible with the Nissan 370Z (2009+), all Infiniti G37 models, and the Nissan 350Z HR (2007-2008).
