3800 1.0 PCM

The ZZP 3800 1.0 PCM is a performance-tuned engine control module offering a range of enhancements for compatible vehicles. It has undergone modifications to fueling and timing parameters specifically for WOT performance. Key features include the removal of the speed limiter, a raised rev limiter set at 6300rpm for stock cams (higher for aftermarket cams), and raised shift points at 6000rpm for stock cams (higher for aftermarket cams). Further performance improvements are achieved through adjusted skip shifts (3-1 and 4-2), lag reduction via modified downshift tables, and increased transmission line pressure. The cooling system is also optimized with a 185F fan turn-on temperature and a 90-second fan-on duration at key-off when coolant is 180 degrees or greater. MAF calibration is year-specific, and PE engagement is adjusted to reduce knock retard (KR). The PCM also addresses part-throttle KR issues and modifies torque abuse modes to eliminate bogging at launch. Shift KR is remapped for modified vehicles, and torque converter lockup tables are adjusted to enhance transmission life and prevent hunting. ZZP offers this PCM with specific options for various model years and configurations, including core charge choices for different Grand Prix models, Camaro/Firebird V6, and an option to send in your existing PCM first. Some specific applications, such as '06+ Grand Prix and Camaro/Firebird, have particular core requirements or require the vehicle to be flashed on-site. The PCM does not alter emissions. For V8 models like the '06-'08 Grand Prix GXP/Monte Carlo/Impala SS, flashing must be done at ZZP's location due to a separate TCM. Additionally, 2008 V6 models are not supported by their tuning software. '96 and earlier Camaro/Firebirds require a '97 core due to tuner box limitations. Engine swaps are supported for vehicles using the Series II wiring harness and PCM, with specific options for 4T65E/4T65E-HD or manual transmissions. Turbo swapped vehicles are email remote tune only.
