3800 1.0 PCM

The ZZP 3800 1.0 PCM is a performance-tuned Engine Control Module (ECM) offering a suite of modifications for enhanced vehicle operation. It is designed to optimize fueling and timing for Wide Open Throttle (WOT) performance, remove the speed limiter, and raise the rev limiter to 6300 RPM (or higher with aftermarket cams). The shift points are also raised to 6000 RPM (or higher with aftermarket cams), and the transmission's line pressure is increased. Further enhancements include the removal of lag through modified downshift tables, the addition of 3-1 and 4-2 skip shifts, and a 90-second fan-on feature when coolant reaches 180 degrees F. The MAF calibration is year-specific, and PE engagement is adjusted to reduce Knock Retard (KR). Part throttle KR issues are addressed, and torque abuse modes are modified to prevent bogging at launch. Shift KR is remapped for modified vehicles, and torque converter lockup tables are adjusted to improve transmission longevity and eliminate hunting. Specific vehicle compatibility and tuning requirements are noted. For '06-08 Grand Prix GXP/Monte Carlo/Impala SS (V8), the car must be flashed at ZZP's location due to a separate TCM. 2006 and 2007 Grand Prix models require sending in the core PCM for tuning. 2008 V6 cars are not supported. For Camaro/Firebird models, the stock PCM core must be sent in, and '96 and earlier cars will require installing a '97 core as ZZP's tuning software does not support pre-'97 models. Engine swaps are only available for Series II wiring harnesses and PCMs; drive-by-wire systems are not supported. Some models may incur additional costs if not listed on HPTuners supported vehicles list. Electrical items are non-returnable. For 97-00 GTP models, a Performance Shift mode selection is required for increased shift points and line pressure; on other PCMs, these tables run constantly unless requested otherwise. 2001-2003 GTP PCMs do not have a Performance Shift button by default, but it can be added for an additional charge with the necessary wiring. If selecting 'sending core first,' the entire order is held until the core is received. Turbo-swapped vehicles require email remote tuning only. ZZP does not offer support for '96 or older cars, with a few exceptions detailed via email. Remote tunes are set up for listed upgrades; significant modifications not listed may require additional fees. ZZP PCMs are unlocked and support user tuning, with assistance offered via email.
