The Eagle Specialty Products 12011060 is a competition rotating assembly kit engineered for Small Block Chevy engines. This kit is ideal for various racing applications, including those utilizing nitrous and forced induction. The assembly features a 383 CID displacement with a 3.750-inch stroke and a 4.060-inch bore. The crankshaft is forged from 4340 steel, nitrided, micropolished, and includes a .125-inch fillet radius for enhanced rigidity. Connecting the crankshaft are 6.000-inch H-beam rods, also made from forged 4340 steel, equipped with 7/16-inch ARP 8740 bolts (ARP 2000 bolts are also available). The pistons are forged Mahle -5cc flat top design, paired with plasma-moly file-fit rings and King XP rod/main bearings for smooth operation and low friction. Installation requires minor clearancing of the engine block at the pan rails. Crucially, the entire assembly must be balanced by a qualified machine shop before installation and use to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Eagle Specialty Products emphasizes quality control throughout their manufacturing process, utilizing multi-stage heat treating, sonic testing, magna-fluxing, and x-ray inspections. They use certified steel and state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring that each part is suited for the most demanding applications.
