383 Crate Engine with MPFI

The BluePrint Engines BP38318MPFIK is a performance crate engine built for GM small block applications, offering a displacement of 383 cubic inches. This engine has been dyno tested at the factory, guaranteeing impressive power output of 436 horsepower and 443 ft-lbs of torque. It features a 10.0:1 compression ratio and is equipped with BluePrint Performance Aluminum Heads and BluePrint Engines Hypereutectic Pistons. Internally, the engine utilizes a high-strength cast iron block with a 4-inch bore and a 1-piece rear main seal. The rotating assembly consists of a cast crankshaft with a 3.750-inch stroke, forged 5.700-inch connecting rods, and hypereutectic pistons. The camshaft is a hydraulic roller type with .544 intake lift and .555 exhaust lift, and durations of 230 intake and 236 exhaust at .050 lift, with a 110-degree lobe separation angle. A key feature is the integrated BluePrint Engines Multi-Port Fuel Injection system, complete with a calibrated ECU and full wiring harness. This system is specifically tuned for this engine, providing reliable performance and simplified installation with just three wired connections. The ECU controls ignition timing and fuel delivery, offering a more advanced solution than typical self-learning EFI systems. This engine comes fully dressed and includes a polished front accessory drive (BPP350FDACPS4) featuring a reverse rotation short water pump, Type II power steering pump with reservoir, a 140-amp 1-wire alternator, and a 7B10 Peanut Style Air Conditioning compressor. It also includes a single plane machined aluminum intake manifold, polished chrome air cleaner and valve covers, a satin aluminum water pump, spark plugs and wires, harmonic balancer, timing cover, distributor, and oil pan. The engine requires 91+ octane fuel.
