38mm External Wastegate

The TiAL Sport MV-S 38mm External Wastegate is a compact, high-performance boost control solution designed for turbocharged applications where precise regulation and reliability are critical. It features TiAL’s proven valve and diaphragm design within a smaller 38mm package, delivering exceptional boost control suitable for street, track, and motorsports use. Engineered for stable and repeatable boost control across a wide power spectrum, the MV-S wastegate’s ultra-compact design, standing only 3.7 inches tall, makes it ideal for tight engine bays and complex turbo manifold layouts without sacrificing performance. The wastegate utilizes high-temperature NiCrFe based alloy for the valve and 347SS for the valve housing, ensuring longer product life. The actuator diaphragm is high-temperature silicone Nomex reinforced, and the 17-7 PH Stainless Steel actuator spring provides consistent pressure and resists relaxation up to 900°F (483°C). Nitronic 60 Stainless Steel is employed for the valve seat and bushing, with all hardware made from stainless steel and mating weld flanges from 304L. Installation is simplified by V-band inlet and outlet flanges, with flanges and clamps included. The unit features three lower and two upper air ports for easy connection to pressure sources and boost controllers, with included plugs for unused ports. Additionally, it integrates -4AN water cooling ports that cycle coolant through the actuator top to maintain lower temperatures in extreme conditions like road racing. These water ports are leak-tested from the factory and can be removed if not utilized. This wastegate is a universal performance application, requiring custom installation. Users are advised to verify clearance and mounting requirements prior to installation. Professional installation and tuning are recommended for optimal performance and to achieve desired base boost pressure using the included actuator springs, which cover a range from 0.3 BAR to 1.7 BAR. Using a quality boost controller is advised for fine boost adjustment.
