This complete engine assembly boasts a 392 cubic inch displacement and is engineered for significant power output, delivering 485 hp and 475 lb.-ft. of torque. It includes essential components such as a water pump, flywheel and clutch, front sump oil pan, intake manifold with throttle body, fuel injectors, and coil packs. Key internal specifications include a 103.9 mm bore and a 94.6 mm stroke, housed within a durable cast iron block featuring 4-bolt powder metal caps. The engine utilizes a forged steel crankshaft, powdered metal connecting rods with floating pins, and hypereutectic aluminum pistons. A nodular iron camshaft works in conjunction with 319 aluminum cylinder heads that feature HEMIspherical combustion chambers, with intake valves measuring 54.3 mm and exhaust valves measuring 42 mm. The compression ratio is set at 10.9:1, and premium fuel is recommended for optimal performance. Important considerations for installation and use include the mandatory purchase of a crate engine w/ engine controller kit (P/N: 77072451AG or 77072454AI). Furthermore, this crate engine is designed for installation in any motor vehicle manufactured prior to model year 1976 or for competition vehicles driven on tracks or off-road.
