The JLT Performance 3018P is a passenger-side oil separator specifically engineered for 1999-2004 Ford Mustang Cobra and 2003-2004 Mach 1 vehicles. This unit features a 3-ounce capacity and is constructed from solid billet aluminum for durability. Its primary function is to capture oil vapors that are vented back through the intake track, preventing them from accumulating in the intake tube and manifold runners, which can dilute fuel and lower octane levels, especially in forced-induction applications. The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator, as it is also known, utilizes a fine mesh stainless steel filter to trap oil vapors, which then coalesce and fall into the collection tank. The knurled tank base allows for easy removal and draining, with an O-ring seal to prevent leaks.
