Installation of this diverter valve can help eliminate boost lag and allow the engine to receive more boost pressure for higher horsepower gains. The turbo tubes are ceramic coated in titanium for high-temperature sustainability and an enhanced engine bay aesthetic.

The RennTech 3rd Generation Diverter Valve is engineered for the M157 5.5L V8 BiTurbo engine, offering significant improvements in turbo response and overall performance. This advanced diverter valve incorporates an all-new Blow-Off Valve system, seamlessly integrated into re-designed OEM turbo tubes. Its primary function is to effectively manage boost pressure by releasing excess in high-boost scenarios or during sudden spikes, which critically aids in achieving faster gear shifts and a more immediate boost re-application for subsequent gears. By upgrading to the RennTech Diverter Valve, you enable your engine to utilize increased boost pressure, directly contributing to higher horsepower output. The included turbo tubes are finished with a ceramic titanium coating, not only to withstand the high temperatures generated by the engine but also to provide a visually appealing, high-performance look within the engine bay. The product also involves an additional core charge of $250, which is credited back upon the return of the OEM pipes to RennTech. This performance diverter valve is specifically designed for the following Mercedes-Benz models equipped with the M157 5.5L V8 BiTurbo engine: 2014-2016 S212 E 63 AMG Wagon and Sedan (4-MATIC), and C218 CLS 63 AMG Coupe and Shooting Brake (4-MATIC). It is also noted as being available for all other vehicles with the M157 5.5L V8 BiTurbo engine, with a recommendation to check related products for compatibility.
