The Ford Performance M-12405-3V0A is a set of 8 spark plugs designed for 3V engines that require a 16mm thread. These plugs are intended for use in engines with higher than stock cylinder combustion pressures or sustained high RPMs. They feature a unique design proprietary to Ford 3-valve engines and are one heat range colder than the stock Mustang GT plug, and two heat ranges colder than the stock 5.4L-3V truck engine plug.

The Ford Performance M-12405-3V0A spark plug set is engineered for demanding 3-valve Ford engines. This kit includes eight spark plugs with a 16mm thread size, specifically designed for 2005-2008 3V heads. These plugs are ideal for applications experiencing higher-than-stock cylinder combustion pressures or sustained high RPM operation, offering enhanced performance and durability under stress. The unique design of these spark plugs is proprietary to Ford's 3-valve engine architecture. They are manufactured to run one heat range colder than the stock Mustang GT plug and two heat ranges colder than the stock 5.4L-3V truck engine plug, which helps prevent pre-ignition and detonation in high-performance scenarios. Compatibility Note: These plugs are for 2005-2008 3V heads with the 16mm thread size. For 2008 and newer 3V heads that use a 12mm thread, use M-12405-3V12MM spark plugs. Identification of the correct spark plug thread size for 2008 models can be done by checking the coil engineering number: 3L3E for early style 16mm "High Thread" plugs, and 8L3E for late style 12mm plugs. All 2009-2010 engines utilize 12mm spark plugs.
