The Texas Speed 4.000" Stroke Forged 24x Crankshaft is a heavy-duty rotating assembly component engineered for durability in high-performance LS-based engines. It is designed to fit 1997-2013 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, and 6.2L GM V8 blocks, providing a reliable foundation for custom stroker configurations, including 383, 408, 416, and 427 combinations. Technically specified with 4340 forged steel, the crankshaft weighs 52 lbs and incorporates a 2.100-inch rod pin with a .125-inch fillet radius to improve structural stiffness. It comes with a 24x reluctor wheel (shipped uninstalled for balancing) and features a standard snout compatible with wet sump oiling systems. The 6-bolt rear flange ensures secure attachment, while the overall design is rated for applications producing up to 950 HP. For proper installation and engine longevity, the use of ACL or King bearings is explicitly recommended to ensure correct fillet clearance.
