4-1 Equal Length Exhaust Header

The DC Sports HHS5022 is a 4-1 equal length exhaust header engineered to enhance the performance of your 2003-2007 Honda Accord equipped with the 2.4L K24A4 engine. This header replaces the restrictive factory cast iron manifold, offering improved exhaust flow for quicker throttle response, stronger midrange power, and better high-RPM breathing. Constructed from corrosion-resistant T304 stainless steel, the header features mandrel-bent tubing with smooth, gradual bends to maintain a consistent inner diameter. This design promotes efficient scavenging, leading to smoother power delivery. The equal length primaries and the 4-1 collector are optimized for street driving, providing broad power gains. The header is available in a polished stainless steel finish or a ceramic coated finish that helps reduce underhood temperatures by reflecting heat. Each joint is hand TIG welded both inside and out for enhanced strength and to ensure a smooth internal weld bead that minimizes flow disruption. The flanges are CNC machined to be flat, ensuring a proper seal against the cylinder head and preventing exhaust leaks. This header is CARB compliant (EO# D-370-14), making it legal for sale and use in all 50 states, including California. However, it is recommended to replace the exhaust manifold gasket with a new one and use new manifold studs or bolts if the old ones are rusted or damaged. Proper torqueing of the header bolts in a crisscross pattern to factory specifications is crucial to prevent flange warping and ensure a leak-free seal. After initial heat cycles, re-torquing the bolts may be necessary as the header settles.
