Overview

The Eagle Specialty Products crankshaft is a forged 4340 steel crankshaft designed for high-performance applications. It features a 4.125-inch stroke and internal engine balance. This crankshaft has a two-piece rear main seal and requires narrow bearings.

The crankshaft undergoes a multi-stage heat-treatment process, is stress-relieved, and shot-peened for durability. It is X-rayed, magnafluxed, and sonic-tested to ensure quality. The oil holes are chamfered for improved oiling, and the rod and main journals have a .125-inch radius for increased strength. Journals are precision-ground and micro-polished to less than 5 R.A. A target bob weight of +/- 2 percent is used to reduce balancing time.

The Eagle Specialty Products 440041256000 crankshaft is engineered for demanding, high-performance applications. Constructed from forged 4340 steel, this internally balanced crankshaft features a 4.125-inch stroke and a two-piece rear main seal. It is designed to accept a standard balancer bolt thread size of 7/16 in.-20 and has a main journal diameter of 2.649 inches and a rod journal diameter of 2.100 inches. It features a non-twist forging process, multi-stage heat treatment, and is stress-relieved and shot-peened for enhanced durability. For improved oiling, the oil holes are chamfered, and the rod and main journals are strengthened with a .125-inch radius. The journals are precision-ground and micro-polished to a surface finish of less than 5 R.A. The target bob weight is held within +/- 2 percent to minimize balancing time during engine assembly. Key specifications include a 4.125-inch stroke, internal engine balance, and a two-piece rear main seal style.
