They do not require special cylinder honing, but proper honing is crucial for preventing sealing issues and premature wear. The company offers various ring designs, including Gapless rings, which enhance cylinder seal on both compression and intake strokes. Gas porting can further aid in keeping the top ring seated in high RPM/high cylinder pressure applications. These rings are typically broken in with light viscosity conventional oil before switching to synthetics. Proper end gap settings are important and are usually provided with the ring set. The Gapless ring should always be installed rail side down.
