Overview

This header features a stepped 4-2-1 Tri-Y design with smooth merge transitions. It utilizes 48mm primaries, progressing to 50mm and then 54mm secondaries, with a 75mm or 3” exit. Constructed from mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel tubing and back purge tig welded, it ensures clean welds and strength. The exit is left unfinished for installer flexibility.

For engines with significant modifications such as larger cams, ported cylinder heads, increased compression, or larger displacement, a larger header is essential for optimal efficiency. This header employs a stepped 4-2-1 Tri-Y design, featuring smooth merge transitions to enhance exhaust flow. The tubing starts at 48mm for the primaries, increases to 50mm, then 54mm for the secondaries, and culminates in a 75mm (3-inch) exit. It is constructed from mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel tubing and features robust, clean welds achieved through back purge TIG welding. Installation of this header requires a flex pipe or a donut flange with spring bolts. For optimal performance, K-Tuned recommends mating this header to 3-inch exhaust piping and a straight-through K-Tuned muffler. The header's exit is intentionally left unfinished to allow for versatile connection to the existing exhaust system. Applications include K20 and K24 engine swaps into EG, DC2, and EK chassis, specifically when using Hasport EKK2 mounts.
