Overview

The Howell EFI CA/JP258 is an electronic throttle body (TBI) fuel injection kit designed for 1981-1986 Jeep CJ models with a 4.2L engine. This JP1 Emission Legal Version is CARB E.O. #D452 approved for 50-state legality.

This kit converts a 2-barrel carburetor setup to EFI using a remanufactured 4.3L Chevrolet throttle body. It requires a high-pressure fuel pump in the main fuel line with a bypass returning fuel to the tank. The harness includes a diagnostic connector with diagnostics similar to 1986-92 GM pickup trucks.
