The Clevite 302-1073 is a set of performance piston rings engineered for maximum power output in high-performance racing engines. These rings are constructed from MAHLE SAE 9254 steel, known for its outstanding fatigue resistance and resistance to breakage.

The design balances piston ring face wear and cylinder bore wear, utilizing a High Velocity Oxygen Fueled Thermal Spray Coating (HV385). This coating improves ring face wear by over 50% without increasing bore wear, providing strength and toughness comparable to heat treatments while remaining scuff-resistant. The rings feature a micro-polished face, offering the lowest coefficient of friction in both low-speed/high-load and high-speed/low-load operating conditions.
