The Eagle Specialty Products 446045002200 crankshaft is engineered for demanding Big Block Ford applications, offering a robust 4.500 inch stroke and internal balance. It is forged from AISI/ASME certified 4340 steel, subjected to a multi-stage heat treatment, and features a non-twist forging process for superior strength and rigidity. The crankshaft is further enhanced with .125" fillet radiuses, requiring chamfered or narrowed bearings, and a nitrided surface for exceptional wear protection. Its journals are micropolished to a < 2 RA finish for optimized oiling passages and improved journal lubrication. Additionally, the target bobweight is guaranteed within a +/- 2% tolerance for more predictable balancing. Eagle emphasizes its commitment to quality, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and skilled craftsmen. Each crankshaft is x-rayed, magnafluxed, sonic tested, shot-peened, and stress relieved to ensure reliability and improve fatigue resistance.
