The Ford 4.9 300 Premium Long Block is a remanufactured engine assembly for Ford vehicles, specifically model years 1968 through 1986. This engine is identifiable by its mechanical fuel pump hole and is designed exclusively for carbureted applications. This premium long block comes complete with new pistons, piston rings, rod bearings, main bearings, cam bearings, a timing set, freeze plugs, a gasket set, an oil pump, and lifters. Each MABBCO® long block is spin-tested on a computerized engine test stand to ensure proper oil pressure and compression. The engine is shipped with push rods and rocker arms already installed and pre-set. Customers will need to specify during checkout whether their block uses a press-in or screw-in dipstick, and whether their cylinder head has studded or BDR rocker arms. This premium long block is sold outright, meaning no core return is required. It is covered by a 1-year limited warranty. Upgrades for industrial applications, such as RV cams, steel timing gears, and HV oil pumps, are available by calling Mabbco Motors.
