4 Bar MAP Sensor

The Hondata 4 bar MAP sensor offers a plug-and-play solution, directly replacing the factory Honda MAP sensor. It is engineered for B, D, H, and F-series Honda engines, including the 2000-2005 S2000 models that use a throttle body-mounted MAP sensor. This sensor is specifically beneficial for boosted engines, as the factory sensor is only accurate up to just under 1 bar (11 psi). Unlike many aftermarket MAP sensors that require splicing and rewiring the engine harness, this Hondata unit features the same connector as the factory sensor and screws directly into place, ensuring a clean installation and minimizing troubleshooting. It can accurately read boost pressures up to 4 bar (approximately 43 psi), surpassing the capabilities of many 3-bar aftermarket sensors. Crucially, this sensor is not compatible with a stock, unprogrammed factory ECU. Due to the different pressure-to-voltage scaling compared to the stock Honda MAP sensor, a programmable or chipped ECU is required to set the new sensor's specifications. The manufacturer provides recommended settings for tuning systems like Hondata S300/Smanager and Neptune RTP, but users should verify these with their tuner upon installation.
