4 Bar MAP Sensor

The Hondata 4 bar MAP sensor is designed to eliminate the common installation headaches associated with aftermarket boost sensors. Unlike many other aftermarket options that require splicing into the engine harness, this unit is completely plug-and-play, utilizing the factory connector and mounting directly into the throttle body. This ensures a clean installation and reduces the potential for wiring errors. This sensor offers a significantly wider boost reading range than the stock Honda MAP sensor, which is limited to just under 1 bar (approximately 11 psi). The Hondata 4 bar sensor can accurately read up to 4 bar, equivalent to about 43 psi of boost pressure. This makes it suitable for more aggressively boosted applications. It is important to note that this sensor is not compatible with a stock, unprogrammed factory ECU. Due to the different pressure-to-voltage scaling compared to the OEM sensor, a programmable or chipped ECU is required. The ECU must be configured to accept the new MAP sensor's specifications. For Hondata S300/Smanager systems, select PARAMETERS > MAP > REPLACEMENT MAP SENSOR > HONDATA/OMNIPOWER 4 BAR. For Neptune RTP, select PARAMETERS > MAIN SETTINGS > MAP SENSOR > OMNIPOWER 4 BAR. Always verify these settings with your tuner. The sensor fits all D, B, F, and H Series Civic, Integra, Accord, Prelude, and 2000-2005 S2000 engines that have a throttle body-mounted MAP sensor.
